We are two Ghanaian women who grew up deeply in love with hair—not just as beauty, but as culture, creativity and identity.

As children, one of our favourite rituals was the trip to the salon. We were captivated by the posters lining the walls—women wearing finger waves, pixie cuts, braids, curls and bold colours. Every style felt like a different story. A different version of the same woman.

That idea became Ailaré.
