Texture FAQs

Yes.

All Ailaré wigs and extensions are made to order. This allows us to carefully source, inspect and prepare each order to ensure it meets our quality standards before dispatch.

As a result, most orders require approximately 15–21 business days of processing before they are shipped. Please note this period may be shorter if there is stock available.

At Ailaré, we prioritise quality over mass production.

By operating on a made-to-order basis, we are able to carefully select, inspect and prepare each piece, ensuring you receive premium-quality hair that meets our standards.

Absolutely. Choosing a texture is personal, and we're happy to help.

If you're unsure which texture will best suit your natural hair, lifestyle or desired look, please contact us before placing your order. You can also send us a clear photo of your hair in its natural state and we'll do our best to recommend the most suitable texture.

At Ailaré, we offer both raw and premium virgin collections.

Raw Hair is collected from a single donor and has not been processed to alter its texture. Because it is in its most natural state, it offers maximum versatility and can be worn straight, curled or dyed to a level 9.

Premium Virgin Hair begins either as raw single or multi-donor human hair and is gently steam-shaped to create a consistent wave or curl pattern. No chemical relaxers or curl activators are used during this process.

Please note that the single donor premium virgin hair like SEA Soft Wave is made from single donor raw hair and thus can be dyed to a level 9 blonde. For our other premium virgin hair that are multi-mixed, if you desire to lift the colour, please let a professional do so and stick to colours below a level 7 (honey blonde) to maintain the shape of the curls. Please read the descriptions before purchasing.

The best choice depends on your styling preferences and desired look.

All Ailaré hair lengths are measured in their fully stretched state.

Curly and coily textures naturally shrink when worn in their natural pattern, making them appear shorter than straight textures of the same length.

This is completely normal and not a defect.

With proper care, Ailaré hair can last for years.

Longevity depends on factors such as maintenance, frequency of wear, colouring, heat styling and general handling.

Because our products are made from human hair, natural variations can occur.

Differences in lighting, styling, screen settings and the natural characteristics of the hair may result in slight variations in appearance.

No two bundles are exactly the same, and that's part of the beauty of human hair.

Absolutely.

Many customers choose to blend textures or select a texture that matches the portion of their natural hair that will be left out.

If you're considering combining textures, contact us and we'd be happy to guide you.

As a general guide:

• 10"–16": 2–3 bundles

• 18"–22": 3 bundles

• 24" and above: 4 bundles recommended for a fuller look

The number of bundles required will vary depending on your desired style and level of fullness.

We recommend:

• Washing your hair weekly or biweekly. Treat the hair as you would your own. Use a clarifying shampoo once a month, however if youre using more butters/ gels/ oils, please do so more frequently.

• Please follow up with a hydrating shampoo and conditoner.

• For our curlier textures, detangle gently prior to washing for an easier wash day

• Allowing the hair to air dry where possible. For our curlier textures, use a diffuser for maximum curl defintion.

• Using lightweight leave-in products to maintain softness and manageability

Lace FAQs

Both options are designed to create a natural-looking finish, but they offer slightly different benefits.

HD Lace
• Thin and transparent
• Blends seamlessly with most skin tones
• Durable and beginner-friendly
• Suitable for regular wear

Ultra Thin Film Lace
• Our thinnest lace option
• Virtually undetectable when installed correctly
• Creates an exceptionally realistic scalp appearance
• Best suited for experienced wearers or professional installation

We generally recommend HD Lace for beginners.

HD Lace offers an excellent balance of realism, durability and ease of installation, making it a great option for both everyday wear and professional installs.

HD Lace and Ultra Thin Film Lace are designed to blend with a wide range of skin tones.

For the most seamless result, lace tinting, makeup application or professional customisation may be required.

For the most natural finish, some customisation may be required.

This can include:

• Tinting the lace

• Bleaching knots

• Plucking the hairline

• Styling the unit

Many customers choose to have their lace customised by a professional stylist.

Unless otherwise stated, lace products are supplied in their original condition.

Any customisation services will be clearly indicated on the product page where available.

Yes.

Many customers choose to wear their closures and frontals using glueless installation methods such as adjustable bands, elastic bands or adhesive-free wig systems.

Results may vary depending on the unit and installation method used.
